STEP 17 - THANKSGIVING FEAST 4 : GREEN BEANS

broken image

Even those who aren’t big fans of the veggies often appreciate a good serving of GREEN BEANS, especially on Thanksgiving—but only if they’re cooked just right.

And if you know what you’re doing (if not, you’re about to), you can use Essential Oils to spice up your old Green Beans recipe in a way that will have even the green-haters clamoring for more.

GREEN GRATITUDE GREEN BEANS RECIPE

• 6 slices Bacon

• 2 lb. Green Beans

• 2 c. Chicken Broth

• 2 c. Water

• 1 tsp. Garlic Salt

• 1 toothpick amount of Black Pepper Essential Oil; increase until desired flavor is reached

• 1 tbsp. Butter

Dice bacon. Snap the ends off the green beans (snap longer beans in two). Cook bacon until browned and crispy in a big pot. Remove bacon and set aside. Keep bacon grease in the pot. Add green beans and all ingredients (except butter) to the pot. Bring to a boil; then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover pot, and simmer for one to two hours. Stir occasionally. Drain beans and add butter. Taste beans and add extra salt if needed. (You may not need any additional Black Pepper Essential Oil but add in toothpick amounts as desired.) Now crumble the bacon onto the beans. Toss the whole recipe to mix the bacon and butter throughout the beans.
